A view of landscape in Cappodocia

Our happy group of pilgrims began the day in Ankara which is in the region once named Galatia. As you know Paul wrote a letter to the churches of this region calling them to remember the freedom we have in Christ. We traveled much of the day arriving in the region of Cappadocia which is mentioned in the account of Pentecost Day in Acts chapter 2. The diverse geography and beauty of this region is a striking witness to God’s creative powers. Tomorrow we will see churches hewn out of rock by early Christians in this area.  Thank you for continuing to do God’s work there while we are trying to be gracious guests in these places where saints have gone before us.
