Fleece blankets made for each MLC adopted “angel” in Salvation Army’s Angel Tree gift program.

Messiah’s Comforters quilting group gathered on Tuesday, November 29 and made three dozen fleece blankets to accompany each of the adopted  “angels” receiving Christmas gifts through the Salvation Army Angel Tree gift program.    All of MLC’s “Angels” were adopted!   The gifts are due back to MLC this  Sunday.  There are additional “angels” needing adoption in our area.

Comforters Silent Quilt Auction ends today!

The quilt display in the Narthex will be available for last minute bids at tonight’s Advent Worship Service. All proceeds are used to purchase quilt making supplies such as batting, thread, and backing material.    The group gladly accepts donations and gifts of fabric remnants. MLC’s Comforters meet weekly to sew and construct quilts to support the ELCA’s Lutheran World Relief Quilt mission.   MLC Member Annette Joens coordinates the group.
