It’s been a busy week at Messiah for our music campers! After a week filled with fun, games, crafts, outreach projects, worship, and, of course, music,  the campers ended our annual music camp by leading our Sunday services with performances of  “Lord Use Me: The Adventures of St. Francis.”

Throughout the week, the campers learned the story of St. Francis and his work for the Church, while doing some work of their own. Not only did the youth rehearse and perform the show, but they also completed several outreach projects. They assembled 20 personal care kits and 26 birthday kits for House of the Harvest, 31 fleece blankets for the Linus Project, 38 crosses for children at Benito Montoya School in Honduras, and 65 fleece dog toys for MARF.

The Music, Lyrics, and Script for “Lord Use Me: The Adventures of St. Francis” were written by Pastor Scott Peterson and our Music Director, Lois Graff.
