About Music at Messiah Classical Concert Series
The Music at Messiah Classical Concert Series was founded in 2013 after Messiah Lutheran Church expanded its sanctuary. This expansion resulted in a bright, warm acoustic space and an elevated chancel ideal for live classical music.
The series is dedicated to enriching the cultural life of North Alabama by presenting professional and rising classical musicians and ensembles to the community. These concerts strive to create meaningful and transformative live experiences, especially for music students, their teachers, and all classical music lovers.
Many of our concerts feature Messiah's Steinway D concert grand piano or its pipe organ, which was custom-built and voiced for our sanctuary by the Miller Organ Company.
The series is volunteer-led and fully self-supporting, relying on free-will donations from concertgoers, sponsor gifts, and advertising. The vast majority of funds raised go directly to supporting our guest artists. With your generosity, we can sustain this outreach ministry of Messiah Lutheran Church in Madison, Alabama, for years to come.
