Volunteer Signups

Typically a young member of the congregation, acolytes light and extinguish candles on the altar before and after services and assist the pastor during communion. 

The Altar Guild is responsible for preparing and maintaining the altar, sanctuary, and liturgical items used in worship services 

Children's Sermon Volunteers prepare a brief message of 2-3 minutes in length to engage the children on the Gospel lesson for the day.    

Counters collect, count, and record offerings made to the church. 

Flower Guild volunteers plan, purchase and prepare floral arrangements for Sunday Worship (for the Sanctuary, Narthex and Columbarium) and other special worship services as needed throughout the year.

Greeters offer a warm and welcoming presence at the entrance to the church before worship services, and are responsible for making visitors and members feel valued and comfortable.

These volunteers read scripture passages aloud during the worship service, and assist with communion distribution. 

Owen's House dinner servers assist with meal service at a local shelter for unhoused women and children.

These volunteers are responsible for managing the live streaming and digital broadcasting of worship services and church events. 

Ushers are responsible for ensuring a welcoming, organized, and smooth-flowing worship experience for the congregation. 

Wednesday night dinner hosts of the week organize and oversee the preparation, serving, and cleanup of weekly church dinners.
