As was announced late in November, Pastor DIana Bottin is being directed by the Southeastern Synod to conclude her Intentional Interim ministry at MLC on December 25th. While we had hoped to have Pr. Diana longer — we must be grateful for her in shepherding us through this year such that our Call Committee is now starting to interview prospective pastors.
On Sunday, December 18, 2022 at 9:45 a.m. Messiah will have a Thank You Pastor Diana reception in coordination with the planned Children’s Christmas Party. There will be donuts, light breakfast fare, and more. The event will take place in the Parish Hall. All are welcome.
Each year it is customary for the Congregation of MLC to give the pastor a monetary Christmas Gift to use however they wish. This year is no exception. Members may contribut to this gift whatever amount they desire and may if they wish include a short thank you note to Pastor Diana on the Paypal link below. Pastor Diana will not see the amount each contributor has given. While this is normally a Christmas Gift, this also will serve as a farewell/thank you gift for Pastor Diana. The due date to give money via the online platform is Monday Dec. 18.

A check will be presented to Pastor Diana at the 5:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Service. Alternatively you may choose to give a check to Pastor Diana directly with a greeting card and place it in the designated basket the Narthex.
If you wish to include a gift with your regular Sunday offering you must write “Pastor’s Christmas Gift” in the memo line or your check or specify it on the giving envelope. Your gift will appear in the non-tax deductible section of your giving statement. The due date to give to the fund is December 18.
