Sara Galyon Hired As Messiah’s Director of Youth & Christian Education

On Thursday, July 13th, the Messiah Lutheran Church Council approved Sara Galyon as Director of Youth and Christian Education Ministries effective July 1st.
Sara joined Messiah in June of 2016 after relocating to the area from Memphis, TN where she completed her Masters of Arts in Youth Ministry at Memphis Theological Seminary. Sara was hired as MLC’s Director of Sr. Youth at the end of January, 2017. Her expanded
responsibilities will include programs for Messiah’s older elementary students (grades 3 through 5) and Junior High youth (grades 6 through 8). In addition, she will provide supervision and administration to Messiah’s Sunday School and Vacation Bible School activities, working in coordination with Sunday School Superintendent, Devonee Woods, and MLC’s Council Representative for Youth and Education, Janell
Zesinger.

We are excited that she will be expanding her work to all of our youth, to help form and build upon a strong foundation in Christ for all ages.”
