Prayer of Saint Francis inspired daily lesson through Music Camp week.
“Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.”
Messiah Music Camp Week has reached its mid-point and what a wonderful week it has been thus far for the 36 campers and the over three dozen youth and adult volunteers involved in this year’s musical production “Lord Use Me: The Adventures of St. Francis.” The musical tells the remarkable life and faith of Saint Francis of Assisi. Each day of Music Camp a line from the widely known “Prayer of Saint. Francis” is presented through worship, games, crafts and instruction.
The musical will be presented this Sunday in the Parish Hall of Messiah Lutheran Church and will serve as the “message” of both the 8:30 & 11 a.m. service. Parents, family members and guests are encouraged to attend.
Here are a selection of moments from the first part of the week.
